*Daily Routine*

I start my mornings off early during the week. I get up and head to the gym at 5. Then I head to work. I bring my portable smoothie maker. Every night before I go to bed I have my workout clothes ready by my bed (so I don’t have an excuse in the morning) my work clothes in a bag, and my smoothie maker and what I put in it right by the door. Working out that early is a mind battle, but once you get to the gym and you see other people there doing it, it makes it easier. The past 2 weeks I’ve made me a protein smoothie for breakfast.

1/2 of small avacado, 1/2 of a banana, 1/2 of an orange, 3 strawberries, one scoop of protein, and ice. And I love it!

After work I will either go back to the gym or go on a hike or run at the park or in my neighborhood. (For atleast an hour.) At work on my breaks I will do exercises that will get my heart rate up. Then I come home and do all the wife duties. lol Right before bed I will do jumping jacks and yoga. At first, getting this to be an routine was a lot of work, but now my minds starting to process it as apart of my everyday life. And I just got off the scale with a smile on my face 🙂 So, after trying this out for a few weeks, and seeing a positive result, I thought I’d share! Hopefully this will help someone out there fighting pcos too!

*My PCOS Story*

Ever since I could remember, I’ve never had a “normal cycle”. I either had it for 7 days with crucial pain or went months without one. All my friends thought I was lucky going 6 months at a time without one, but instead of having a period, I would get cysts after cysts on my ovaries. I’ve always had stomach pains on and off, so I thought it was the a normal thing for me. I played sports and was active growing up so I didn’t really struggle with being over weight, but never was skinny either. I’m big boned and got a lot of traits from my dad so, I thought my dark coarse hair was part of it. It wasn’t until I was 22 that I noticed (what I now know) my PCOS symptoms getting worse. I went to several different doctors and gynecologist. None of them told me that I had PCOS. Even though my facial hair was obvious, I never had regular cycles, I was exhausted & nauseated all the time, I kept gaining weight rapidly, and I had to drop down to part time at work because I just couldn’t handle it. They kept saying I was healthy, but my hormones are off balance? They put me on several different birth controls because my stomach kept fighting against them. They also put me on metformin and a water pill. Something had to give. So, my husband and I started doing some research. We came across PCOS. Made a doctors appointment, and sure enough, that’s what I had. Finally, we now know what is wrong with me, but had no idea what PCOS really was? We bought a PCOS book off of amazon. I got half way through, and stopped. It was so depressing. I didn’t want to have to be on these medications and have all these symptoms for the rest of my life. So, I did more research and came across the wonderful Katie Humphrey! I watched her 90 days of freedom and I finally saw a light at the end of the tunnel. I got me a book, and wrote down notes from each day. I stepped out on a limb and ordered Insulite Labs. After the first month, I stopped taking all three of my medications. I got my cycle and have had one every month since. I don’t have stomach pains, I’m not nauseated all the time anymore, I have bursts of energy, and I’m back to 5 days a week now 🙂 I started reading Katie Humphreys “Revolution to You” book, and took her 6 week boot camp webinar. I’ve learned so much and am truly grateful for her.
I work out about 4 days a week, and eat so much healthier. It’s a lot of work and dedication, and you fall down sometimes, but you can’t give up. It’s not a fad you go through, its now your new way of living. And it’s going to take time, so if you don’t see results right away it doesn’t mean its not working. Something else that helps me is watching the Biggest Loser’ show and it has been very inspiring.
My eating, life style, and health has changed for the better. Katie has helped me so much through this difficult time in my life, and I just want to pay it forward. I wanted to post this so that maybe one day my story would help someone else.
